Below, we outline two methods to resolve this error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\"><strong>Prerequistie<\/strong>: Connect your PC to a wired connection using an Ethernet cable, or utilize USB tethering through your smartphone to ensure the PC has Internet access for the necessary troubleshooting steps that require an Internet connection.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"method-1-fix-error-using-software-and-updates\">Method 1: Fix Error Using &#8220;Software and Updates&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Open &#8220;Software and Updates&#8221;:<\/strong> Click on <strong>Activities<\/strong> in the top left corner of your Ubuntu desktop. Then type <strong>&#8220;Software&#8221;<\/strong> in the search bar and select <strong>&#8220;Software &amp; Updates&#8221;<\/strong> from the search results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Navigate to Additional Drivers:<\/strong> Once the &#8220;Software &amp; Updates&#8221; window is open, click on the <strong>&#8220;Additional Drivers&#8221;<\/strong> tab. The system will automatically search for drivers and updates, including those for your WiFi adapter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.veeble.org\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Software-update-1.gif\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"912\" height=\"494\" data-id=\"5321\" src=\"https:\/\/www.veeble.org\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Software-update-1.gif\" alt=\"Click on Activities in the top left corner of your Ubuntu desktop. Then type &quot;Software&quot; in the search bar and select &quot;Software &amp; Updates&quot; from the search results\" class=\"wp-image-5321\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Check for Available Drivers:<\/strong> If a compatible driver is available, you will see an option to install it. Select the recommended driver for your WiFi adapter and click <strong>&#8220;Apply Changes.&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Restart Your Computer:<\/strong> After installing the drivers, restart your computer to apply the changes. Once rebooted, check if the WiFi adapter is recognized and the error &#8220;No Wifi Adapter Found&#8221; is resolved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"method-2-fix-error-using-the-terminal\">Method 2: Fix Error Using the Terminal<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>If the graphical method does not resolve the issue, you can use the terminal to manually configure your WiFi adapter and resolve the error: &#8220;No Wifi Adapter Found&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Open Terminal:<\/strong> Press <strong>Ctrl + Alt + T<\/strong> to open the terminal window.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>List Network Properties:<\/strong> Run the following command to list your network properties and identify the product number of your WiFi adapter:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>lshw -C network<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.veeble.org\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/lshw-class-network-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"678\" data-id=\"5335\" src=\"https:\/\/www.veeble.org\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/lshw-class-network-1.jpg\" alt=\"lshw -C network\" class=\"wp-image-5335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.veeble.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/lshw-class-network-1.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.veeble.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/lshw-class-network-1-300x170.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.veeble.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/lshw-class-network-1-1024x579.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.veeble.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/lshw-class-network-1-768x434.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Note down the <strong>product number<\/strong> for your WiFi adapter, as you will need it in later steps. Sometimes, the WiFi adapter may be disabled at the hardware level, which can prevent it from being recognized by the operating system. Access the BIOS\/UEFI settings during startup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tomshardware.com\/reviews\/bios-keys-to-access-your-firmware,5732.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(usually by pressing F2, F10, DEL, or ESC)<\/a> and check that the WiFi or network options are enabled.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator uagb-block-949440a4\"><div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator__inner\" style=\"--my-background-image:\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>By following these steps, you can resolve the &#8220;No WiFi Adapter Found&#8221; error in Ubuntu.
